The new-generation 51t Grove GRT655L rough terrain crane has surged further ahead with its longer boom configuration. No question – this “L” model leads the pack.

The operator’s cab is designed for comfort and productivity, and of course with safety in mind. Visibility is superb with the cab’s full-vision design plus incorporates the ability for the operator to engage the 20° hydraulic tilt function for enhanced visibility. The cab is all steel fabricated with acoustical lining and tinted safety glass throughout.

The Deluxe seat with headrest incorporates arm­rest-mounted electronic programmable single-axis or dual axis controllers and a jog dial for easier data input. Tilt/telescoping steering wheel with various controls incorporated into the steering column. Like other models within Grove’s new-generation family of cranes, the GRT655 also has the Crane Control System (CCS).  Combined with the “Rated Capacity Limiter” (RCL), the crane’s CCS displays all boom positions, slew angle, actual load, rated load, and percentage of outrigger extension within one display screen and the crane operating indicators, levels, warnings, faults, and more in a separate display screen. The operator also controls everything via electric joystick controllers with jog dial input. Working range limiter and data logger capability.
